Modern command posts are far more than simple bases – they form the core of operational command and enable fast, precise decision-making. To achieve this, not only the personnel but also their equipment must remain agile, protected and fully operational under demanding conditions.
With the product innovation introduced in summer 2025, Shieldex presents a next-generation mobile command post system: the Shieldex® Mobile Command Post. It combines powerful EMC shielding with an ultra-lightweight, modular structure weighing only 30 kg without the frame – all in one system. This solution meets the requirements of NATO Zone 2 and has been successfully tested by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). A version for NATO Zone 1 is already in development.

Expand existing infrastructure
The Shieldex® Mobile Command Post is designed for flexible integration into military operational structures. Using individual adapter solutions, the shielding system can be connected to existing tent and protection systems, for example from Schall or Lanco. This allows existing command posts and mobile shelters to be extended with electromagnetically shielded areas – without necessarily having to replace the entire infrastructure.

The Shieldex® Mobile Command Post is designed for changing deployment locations and flexible transport requirements. The lightweight textile shielding construction can be combined with various frame systems, including aluminium frames and air-supported variants.

Air-supported LGZ tent by Schall
The air-supported tent (LGZ) by Schall is designed as a flexible add-on option for the mobile Shieldex® Command Post and is especially suited for outdoor deployments. Thanks to its short setup and dismantling time, the LGZ variant is ideal as a highly mobile shelter and rapid deployment tent for field operations.
This includes short-term missions as well as deployments with longer standing times. The LGZ can be used in all climate zones and provides reliable protection against external influences such as rain, snow, frost and wind – ideal for use in open terrain.

Technically documented shielding performance
The Shieldex® Mobile Command Post is based on a three-layer textile construction made of Shieldex® Berlin RS, Shieldex® Zell RS and Shieldex® Nora Dell CR.
The actual configuration can be adapted to requirements for size, access, ventilation, power supply and technical interfaces.
